Fig Jam

Fig Jam recipe:
Place ripe figs in bowl and sprinkle two tablespoons of sugar on them, cover and keep in refrigerator over night.


On low heat pour figs into pot with 1/2 cup of water, cinnamon and juice of one lemon and simmer for 30 minutes make sure to stir.


Use an immersion blender and purée figs.
Simmer for another 15 minutes stirring periodically.


Place in jars, let cool to room temperature and refrigerate.

I absolutely love fig jam with Brie, in between bread and toasted in a panini press or with crackers it’s delicious. For a quick treat try using it with puff pastry. You won’t be sorry. Enjoy!
