Gummy Supplements

One of the first things we did at the start of my sons recovery was blood tests. The test results were able to give us a lot of information and being deficient in almost everything meant my little man needed extra vitamins. I always try everything before giving it to my son. Mostly because he is non verbal and can’t tell me if he’s having a reaction to it. I know our bodies will react to everything differently but I feel better when I do it.

What I realized was the supplements were nasty. I mean I can completely understand why kids won’t take them. So I needed a solution and one that I could guarantee little man would take.

These gummies can be altered in every way, using different fruit flavors or supplements. They can be tailored to your needs and liking. Just be sure to check with your doctor about the efficiency of your supplements when mixed with another.

How I make them:
This is not the time to get lazy so do not use a store bought juice unless its completely natural. If you have a blender you can make fresh juice. If you have a juicer, well than you are one step ahead. My son loves carrots and since they are a great source of antioxidants and fiber, its a win win. After peeling the carrots just throw them in the blender with some water. You have the option to sweeten up your juice with maple syrup or honey, making sure they are both pure as well. I use two medium carrots, with 2/3 of a cup of water and if you choose to, 2 table spoon of sweetener. Once all blended, you are gonna strain the juice into a small pot and add 3 teaspoons of Agar Agar powder. Let is set for 5 minutes.

While you wait, you are going to add the liquid multivitamin to the molds. This is where you can divide the vitamin to fit your specific dosage needs. I use Agape, its a multivitamin you can find it here https://amzn.to/2RpFIk5 Its pretty pricey but its the best. I put half the daily dosage in each gummy mold, the mold is really small.

Go back to your juice mixture. Bring the juice mixture to a simmer. Make sure you stir constantly to be sure everything is blended and everything is dissolved. Should take about two minutes. Then using the dropper that comes with the molds, you are going to top off the molds with juice. I like to give each bear a little stir to make sure the juice and multivitamin are mixed together nicely. Place in the fridge for 2-3 hours until they are set. You can then store them in a glass mason jar in the fridge. This recipe makes about 600 gummies.

Like I said before you can add any vitamin and any juice flavor as needed. I use different juice flavors for different vitamins. Like I use orange juice for Fish oil supplement gummies and Raspberry for extra vitamin D.

Good luck and let me know how it works out for you.
