Stuffing or Dressing

Is it Stuffing or Dressing? Depends on where you are from. To me this is Dressing. If it was inside my Turkey, I would call it stuffing. This recipe was given to me years ago, too many for me to say without making myself feel old. But it’s my favorite, always has been. The secret is to use fresh baked cornbread in the mix. It’s honestly a complete meal in itself and can be made any day of the week.

Start off by baking your favorite cornbread. After cooled crumble and set aside.

Start cooking some turkey sausage. Remove when fully cooked and place on the side. In the same pan add chopped up bell peppers and celery. So pretty when you use colors.

Sauté the veggies until slightly tender you want them to still have a bite to them. Add salt, pepper, garlic powder, and dried sage.

Add one can of cream of mushroom and then fill the can with water and add to the pan. Bring to a simmer.

Throw in the sausage and corn bread. Mix well and place in oven safe pan.

Put in the oven on 350° for about 40 minutes and there you have it Dressing!

You can’t use this mixture inside of your Turkey for stuffing just skip the baking the part. Let me know what you think.
